Symposium of Young African Researchers, (Rethinking/Reimagining) the Image of Africa for the Development of the Continent, Gaston Berger University (Saint-Louis, Senegal), June 3-7, 2024.
This symposium, conceived and organized by young African researchers, aims to contribute to the debates within Africanist intellectual circles concerning the revision of the image of the African continent in the context of a global order marked by the pursuit of development, where major powers engage in asymmetric promotion of their culture as an implicit lure to the rest of the world. This theme will be analyzed through the following non-exhaustive sub-themes:
Women and the development of Africa;
Demography (Youth) and the development of Africa;
Culture and the development of Africa;
Religion, spirituality, and the development of Africa;
Africa through the eyes of Africans;
Education and training in Africa of tomorrow;

Proposals for presentations should be submitted no later than September 30, 2023.
