PROTECTIVE SKILLS:
FIELDS, EXPERIENCES AND PRACTICES IN THE FIGHT AGAINST GBV IN AFRICA
Global Africa is launching a call for contributions for its 9th issue, devoted to “Protective Knowledge” in the fight against gender-based violence (GBV) in Africa. This issue aims to offer in-depth, multidisciplinary scientific reflection on field experiences, local practices, and innovative solutions developed by actors engaged in this fight.
Objectives of the issue:
Enrich the debate on GBV, by providing new and relevant data on the realities, causes, consequences, and solutions to fight against GBV in Africa.
Enhance skills acquired from the experiences and practices of local actors in their engagement against GBV.
Showcase evidence-based solutions and discuss the benefits, challenges, scientific as and practical perspectives.
Reflect on "protective skills," particularly in the fight against GBV.

Potentialities and weaknesses of the legal framework
Diversified and integrated care measures
Best practices: issues and challenges in replicating (social) innovations
Competition or complementary among the NGOs involved
Timeline of projects
Consolidation and reversibility of outcomes

Holistic Housing Centers
Submission instructions:
Interested researchers and practitioners are invited to submit their papers according to the instructions to authors available here. Contributions should reflect solid field experience and a multidisciplinary perspective.
Timetable:
Submission deadline: until October 28, 2024
Notification of acceptance: November 4, 2024
Publication of issue: March 20, 2025
