APSA Awards
APSA is pleased to announce a call for proposals aimed at funding research stays during the 2023-2024 academic year. This initiative is specifically designed for accomplished young African researchers who are actively engaged in the fields of mathematical, physical, computer, or engineering sciences within Africa. Please note that this call is not open to current doctoral students. The selected awardees will have the opportunity to undertake research stays lasting from one to three months at a foreign laboratory of their choice. These laboratories can be located in France or another African country, provided that it is different from their current place of work. While the program is open to researchers from across Africa, priority consideration will be given to individuals from sub-Saharan Africa, excluding South Africa.
APSA is committed to covering a comprehensive range of expenses for each laureate, up to a maximum limit of 5000 euros. Whenever feasible, collaboration with hosting laboratories and institutions will ensure the provision of funds for travel (economy class), visa, and stay-related expenses (including health insurance, accommodation, and per diem allowances). The inclusion of co-financing components will significantly enhance the evaluation process of applications.
