The Offer

The primary target audience for the scientific writing courses are junior students and researchers. This choice was motivated by a significant observation: the decline in the quality of scientific writing and the shortcomings in addressing methodological and fieldwork aspects in social sciences education on the continent. However, the act of writing is a fundamental element in the expression of scientific thought. It reflects the understanding of certain phenomena, concepts, or notions and demonstrates the ability to address them.

That's why the following MOOCs have been targeted:

  • Scientific Writing Course

  • Epistemology Course

  • Method and Fieldwork Investigation Course

  • Theories in Social Sciences Course

  • Quantitative and Qualitative Methods.

 

The second part of the training focuses on publishing and mainly concerns professionals in scientific publishing. The crisis in higher education in Africa has left universities without the means for substantial research and also without viable publishing methods or the ability to produce, promote, and disseminate the results of researchers at the continental and international levels.

To support this necessary revitalization of African scientific publishing, Global Africa aims to offer a Professional Master's program in Publishing Studies and Editing, providing training in:
