Cecelia Lynch, Professor of political science at the University of California, Irvine, USA, and Co-Editor of the Critical Investigations into Humanitarianism in Africa (CIHA) blog (www.cihablog.com). She focuses on the interrelated themes of religion (including indigeneity), the ethics and problems of humanitarian aid, and international relations broadly conceived, including their racialized and gendered character. She takes what she calls a “critical interpretivist” approach to all of the above. Her most recent book, Wrestling with God: Ethical Precarity in Christianity and International Relations (Cambridge Univ. Press, 2020), received the Religion and International Relations Best Book Award from the International Studies Association (ISA).
